This project was for a communication design course with the
assignment of redesigning or recreating a brand.
I redesigned the Dreamville brand, a major hip hop/rap/R&B brand that has a music festival in Raleigh each year. The purpose of creating this Dreamville poster was to rebrand and redesign the Dreamville theme and logo. The original brand poster for the festival is created differently, yet similar each year, as it’s centered around nature and the outdoors. In past years, the poster has been blue skies, and this year, it was set under the stars and night sky. I rebranded this design so that it would align more with the music’s theme of the festival — rap, hip hop, and R&B. The look is more graffiti focused, set on a brick wall that is meant to give a more edgy feel.
